My faculty and my dear housemates

My Apartment

Life In Multimedia University

My blog is so abondoned ya..haha..

Since 8th June, I have started my Uni life in Multimedia University ( MMU ) which is located in Bukit Beruang, Malacca. The campus is not as big as I thought but the facilities is good, I must say. It is quite clean also.(you know, private school,we pay a lot)

My main major is accounting and I went for 5 hours of classes altogether. ( because I am accepted by Universiti Putra Malaysia) I paid RM500 as deposit. It means 1 hour costs me RM100. Sigh..

I had my classes at Faculty of Business and Law. The class is quite big, almost 150++ of us in a hall. Everyone seemed so excited because it was a new beginning. We also had our lectures in CLC. I got myself a few new friends here especially Regina who is a very sweet girl.

I skipped the orientation week so most of the time I had to depart early from where I stayed because I might be lost. When I went for my taekwondo class, I spent almost half an hour wandering in the campus because I did not know where the tennis court was located. It was 8pm and there was nobody for me to ask. It was a very tiring practice for that day. I suffered for 2 more hours. The instructor kept looking at us and I could not be lazy. I felt like my legs were not longer mine. Pity..

The food here..erm..ok la..but quite expensive..I miss my mummy's cooking..

Oh ya..The place I stayed is Ixora Apartment. It is very near to our school. It takes only 1 minute to reach our school back door. I am staying in Blok A, 17th floor. It is my first time staying in such a tall building. There are 4 rooms in my apartment, 2 bath rooms, 1 living room, kitchen and balcony which has a good view. My room is totally new because there was no one staying before. Sze Ying is my roommates who studied in STK also. There are 6 more girls in my apartment, Wan Li ( who has gone to UKM), Eunice, Jeffue, Xin Yu, Ying Kun and Li Ting. We had a good time here. Sometimes we went swimming together and enjoyed ourselves soaking in the pool for 3 hours!

I must say I have started to love this place but I have to leave. Goodbye, my two-week-home..

My School And My Students

My Cute Students

I am teaching Year 2 Mathematics in SJK (C) Kampung Gajah. Recently, they are learning multiplication of 2,3,4 and 5 . So they have to memorize the multiplication table.

A few days ago, I asked a Malay student, Siti who is a very cheerful girl to read the multiplication table of two and four. As this is a chinese school, the Malay students have to learn everything in chinese. Although they are just Year 2, some of them can speak mandarin quite fluently). She was very confident and started it.

" e si ba (饿死吧= hungry until die)"

" si yi si (死一死= try to die )

I forced myself not to laugh because I knew she was trying to say 2 x 4 = 8 ( 二四八)and 4 x 1 = 4 ( 四一四)

The class monitor is a very cute boy. His name is Chee Hong. His friends like to call him as little fatty.

One day, he forgot my name and made a mistake by calling me another name. I pretended to get angry and joked with him. I deliberately did not call his name to answer the questions.

"I have forgotten who Chee Hong is and I do not want to call this name" I said.

He got panicked and kept making all kind of noises to draw my attention. Finally he gave up.

" Ceh, I do not want to answer anymore " he said.

" OK la, I was just kidding with you. Chee Hong, it is your turn" I said

" Don't want" he said.

" I thought your name is Chee Hong? Okay, I call you little fatty next time. "

He stood up immediately and answered the questions. Then he said,

" Don't call me little fatty , OK? "

The class was laughing.

After finished class, I heard him saying,

" mi cai lai le = 米菜来了" (rice and vegetables are coming)

I wondered what was happening. Then finally I understood. He was trying to say " Ms Chai lai le "

Enjoying my teaching life..

Future

I have not been updating my blog for a long time. I was busy thinking about my future plan as I got my STPM result on 11th March.

It was a sunny day... Ok, we skip this part. Anyway I did not get 4A ( as expected ) because I was "killed" by Biology again as I got B+ for it. The history during SPM has repeated. Haih.

However it can considered as OK as I will not face any problem in applying for any course in private university or college. Just that I have to PAY MORE. As study loan is available, I think I still can afford it. The most important thing is WHAT I WANT TO STUDY.

One and a half year, I have gone through so much of hardship with my friends. I think everybody had put a lot of effort for this exam. Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology killed a lot of my brain cells. It caused hormonal problem and that's why I am having obesity. Ok ok, I admit I am just trying to find excuses for eating a lot.

Medicine or pharmacy? I have been thinking for a long time.. Finally, I made up my mind. I have chosen accountancy. Surprising? Is it a waste for my STPM? I do not know.

I know I am not interested in working in lab so I did not consider Bioengineering at all. I am alright with medicine but it is quite a tiring job and I do not have any passion. Therefore, I want to give it a try in business world.

I am not sure whether i will regret in future. Just do my best, I have been telling myself as I have made a choice. ALL THE BEST to myself.

To Deal With Lazy Bugs

Like what I said before, some of the children are really persistent. They are very determined not to do their homework. No matter how hard you cane them, their books are also empty in the next day. I have to find a solution as the headmistress will check the children's books. I do not want to get myself a scolding.

Therefore, I have found a way to deal with them. Do you know what subjects they like most? PJ, Computer and music. I will check their timetable every morning, and ask them to finish their homework in the staff room during those periods. You can see how reluctant they are when I call their name before they go for those classes. (I have a complete list recording all those students who have not passed up their homework)

This method really works! They finish their homework in staff room and make my life easy. They also start to do their homework at home because they do not want miss those classes anymore.
